Welcome to the radio page of Barry G1NPN/M3NPN
Packet Radio
The program I use for Packet radio is Winpack v 6.51 by Roger Barker G4IDE.
This is a very popular program used by many amateur radio enthusiast's across the world, below is a screen shot of the program in action.
Winpack can be used with a TNC or a BAYCOM Modem. To use Winpack with a Baycom Modem you need to be running Windoze 95 or greater and a small TSR program called AGW.
The Baycom Modem can be purchased from MAXPACK.
This is picture of the Baycom Modem
Another fine program from Roger Barker G4IDE is UI-VIEW
UI-View is an APRS-type application for Windows. There are two versions of UI-View:- The 16 bit version will work on Win31, Win95 and Win98. It is supplied as "registration-ware". An unregistered copy is almost fully functional (the only restriction is that some of the IGATE functionality is disabled). Registration costs 10 UK pounds. UI-View32 is a 32 bit version and so needs a 32 bit version of Windows - Win95, Win98, Win2000, etc. It is for registered users only. To be able to use it, you must have registered your copy of the 16 bit version.
This is a great telnet program This Program was made especially, for the use on the internet DX Clusters and to allow multiple split screens, back- spacing, voice on DX spots etc.
Thanks
to Fabrizio IK4VYX for this software
