The stem post had to be shot blasted before galvanizing as it was coated with red lead

Some of the lugs for the mudguards were broken off during the galvanizing process

The next stage is to position and fix the stem post & mast cradle, strengthen both by triangulation & pivot the mast on it, with the mast resting on the cradle

The lower left photo over a good distance with digital zoom, appears "slightly fuzzy" and taken in nearly dark conditions. This Nikon Coolpix 880 digital camera is fantastic at taking shots during dusk but only if the flash is disabled.
