Stem post trimmed to allow mast to pivot
Pin capped, chamfered & end drilled to keep it securely in place
Holes drilled in all sealed box sections to prevent distorting during galvanizing
Hitch fits on here, only job that remains before galvanizing is to drill through the large 80*80 draw bar so that the hitch can be bolted through both
Difficult job for 2 of us to manipulate the stem post & its base plate into position, nearly checked outside to see if any of the ham's seen over past weeks mobile/stopped nearby my house were around to give us a hand
Amazing to see how new metal gets rusty out in the weather so quickly
The stem post assembly will not be welded in position until it is galvanized so that we can work out the center of gravity when the mast is in position
Gussets distribute pressure and take strain off the post at the base
I need a hand with the rotator cage, can anybody please oblige ???
