Welcome to the website of the Flare, Inc. all started in 1981 and it was a humble beginning for FLARE INC. A group of radio enthusiasts with little technical know-how, no affiliation and no formal organization banded together. The group, however, posses interest, initiative, inventiveness and involvement. They have responded to government’s call for help. More developments in electronic communications inspired and challenged the group to undertake projects that included homebrewed antenna, power supply, electronic keyer and oscillator. All through these endeavor was another magic. A special kinship and friendship had evolved and kept the founding members and even their families close and cohesive. Soon the increase in membership necessitated the creation of a formally organized association. FLARE Inc. was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in 1986. Accreditation by the National Telecommunication Commission followed and the club station call DX1FLR was heard around the world via the club’s IC-735 HF radio. The highlight in its hall of achievement came about in July 2002. After so many years of testing and waiting for a good Internet program, the Internet Link Project began its full operation linking communities around the world through the Internet and two-way radio. In the midst of all these successes, the realization of the common dream of its innumerable members that FLARE may serve the community by sharing themselves, time, talent, resources was the best achievement it has thus far accomplished in its seventeen years of existence. And early 2004 after all the preparation a new achievement comes to FLARE the DX1FLR Repeater System tune at 434.000Mhz PL 88.5 Located at Antipolo City province of Rizal covering the Central Manila and some part of Bulacan and far North and also part in the south areas of Cavite and Laguna. And in just a year after the success of Echolink, new system comes in 2006 1st in the Philippine Island the Winlink 2000 (WL2K) radio-email digital network system is intended to greatly extend the ability of the Amateur Radio to provide a public service to the greater community by linking to the Internet email system. The emphasis is to accomplish this while providing additional features that are of particular value to amateur users for use in emergency management and everyday use to those in the Amateur service who may not otherwise have access to the Internet. It is a priority and commitment of the Winlink Development Team to provide these public services to the greater community through Amateur radio. more...
