(Right side: J-arm, bearing and wheel disassembled)

(worn strut and corroded J-arm)

(corroded bearing, tie rod, worn strut, j-arm)

(disassembling tie rod, is to be replaced, so are both j-arms and bearings)

(corroded splint, stuck in the holes of the j-arm axle)

(corroded right j-arm axle, to be cleaned and treated with grease)

(cleaned left j-arm axle, still w/o grease)

(assemble new left j-arm)

(attached new strut to j-arm)

(painted primer and black coat on front suspension gear)

On 8/5 I continued to redo the suspension. When I was trying to bolt the strut to the frame, I realized that the new pre-owned struts (black) didn't fit into the Oddy. Damned ! So I had to utilize the old one (red).

I was fortunate and found Oddy style struts on ebay (September 03):

(This is the old stuff that was removed from the Oddy. Odd, isn't it ;-))

Next step was the steering system. Click here.
