All about me...Well, most everything about me.

About

I'm Brad been in the hobby since I was 14. Got my ticket in the mail in December of 1994 with the Callsign of KE4TXS as a no-code Tech. I upgraded to general the next fall at the Rock Hill Hamfest and then Advanced shortly after. Then after a lot of code practice, I got my 20wpm at a Fort Mill test session and upgaded to Extra at a Monroe, NC (I think) sometime in 1996.

I am origionaly from Rock Hill, SC and now live about 10 miles to the west in the country between Rock Hill and York, SC (its a York address so I say York). I work in Charlotte as a Broadcast Engineer for CBS Radio. We have 7 stations in Charlotte and 125 stations across the country in Large to Major markets. I do alot with the automation system for playout (AudioVAULT), streaming, HD playout and configuration, SAS audio routing system and the new technology (IP based) remote gear. We do have some ISDN gear still, but the IP/POTS CODECS are greatly taking over due to the ease of use and ease of transport. I also take care of alot of the studio gear. We have 2 Engineers working in the studio and an RF guy (my boss) so with 7 stations, we stay pretty busy. We have a lot of new and exciting things coming up very soon too!
