  • Like most major Dxpeditions, sponsorship is of extreme importance to help with the popularity and financial aspects of the Dxpedition. The majority of the 8Q7ZZ team are under 20 years of age, and it is a great challenge for us to obtain funds to help finance liabilities such as licences, insurance, QSL's, etc. Also, as the majority of the team are still in full time education, it is very difficult to finance such a trip - as the member will not be earning a suitable income. Therefore, it has been agreed that a proportion of the monies required can be obtained by sponsorship funds - of course this does not mean it is a free-be! We have all agreed to pay most of our costs.

If anyone can help, please contact me [email protected] . We will obviously provide a wide range of promotion for our sponsors including mention on this web site, mention on the QSL card, displays in the radio magazines, etc.

Below are our sponsors to date of which we are most grateful:

  • General sponsors

North California DX Foundation Chiltern DX Club
    Lohifushi-Resort SSK Conferences & Events
    Coventry Building Society UKSMG
    German DX Foundation Monarch Airlines
    W3EF W3EF, Learning Designs Limited GMDX-Group
    RSGB Frame That Photo
    Radiocommunication Agency Raytheon

  • Equipment sponsors

Five Star DXers Association RSGB IOTA
ICOM (UK) Waters and Stanton PLC
    Trident Antennas . .

Also, many individuals kindly offer their personal assistance in many different ways, either financially or loan of equipment. We are most grateful to the following :

    Jens, DL7AKC

    Neville, G3NUG

    Ian, G3KZR

    Ian, G3TMA

    John, G3WGV

    Jonathan, G4HHT

    Nigel, G4KIU

    Tony, G0OPB

    Taizo, JA3AER

    Kazu, JA1RJU
    Ramon, XE1KK

We also regard our QSL manager as a sponsor and we are pleased that Phil, G3SWH, will take this position. Phil has done a great job for well known Dxpeditions such as 9M0C and D68C - that's quite a lot of QSL's!!
