One part of this coat can be seen on the seal of king Vukasin (1370.), but without the shield. White eagle is probably presented because it was considered as coat of Serbia (one-headed eagle on this coat though). It was customary among rulers in that period to paint (double-headed) eagle on their clothing and other objects.
Another important symbol on Mrnjavcevic coat are firesteels (ocila) that later became part of official coat of new Serbian state.

When Mrnjavcevics in 1371. fought Turks in Marica battle, they were defeated and Turkish invaders continued their advance in Serbian country. Both brothers, Ugljesa and Vukasin were killed during the battle. Vukasin's son, Marko (Marko Kraljevic), became new king. Although he was Turkish vassal, popular poems presented him as hero of miraculous strength and extraordinary courage. Marko Kraljevic was killed in Turkish foray in 1395, lead by sultan Bajazit personally. After his death Mrnjavcevic family disappeared from politic scene, and we don't have plenty of information about other members of family. Ugljesa's wife Jelena went to monastery where she became nun under name Jefimija. There she embroidered famous "Praise to duke Lazar".
