Club Activities

Club members have a wide range of interests in amateur radio, electronics, computers and satellites. For example, members are involved in world wide communication on the HF bands, contests, local FM communications, Amateur satellites, Amateur TV, packet radio (computers linked via radio) and DMR network node.

The station can be operated remotely. Refer to Remotely Controlled Station Guidelines when operating the station.
The Club takes an active role in the contests and awards having achieved a DXCC (contact with over 100 countries) as well as the wins in NZART Jock White Memorial contest (Field Day).

Club Meetings

Visitors Always Welcome
The clubroom is located at the head of the Purewa Creek valley reached by going through the yard at 400 St John�s Road in Kohimarama. It is safer to approach from the south. If the gate is locked, phone a Committee member or a Contact person. 
We are committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for its members, visitors, and all persons using the premises.
The clubroom is open every Saturday from 1030 hours for members and guests to drop in for a chat and a cuppa. Or call on 145.775 MHz or Skype zl1aa_nz or Echolink zl1aa

General meetings are every 3rd Saturday of the month (except December and January) from 1330 hr. We usually have a guest speaker to talk on a radio-related topic, as well as Club business. On the nice weather Saturdays we will try to have a midday BBQ. 
NB. The February 2021 Committee Meeting is on Tuesday the 8th February at 1930 Hrs.
  Each Wednesday we hold our club VHF net at 145.775 MHz split from 1930hr onwards

Run and select ZL1AA to access our remotely controlled station at the clubroom.
Thus you will be able to listen to our HF net on 3.645 MHz at 50 db over S9 on Monday evenings.
