Club Activities
Club members have a wide range of interests in amateur radio, electronics,
computers and satellites. For example, members are involved in world wide
communication on the HF bands, contests, local FM communications, Amateur
satellites, Amateur TV, and packet radio (computers linked via radio).

The Club takes an active role in the contests and awards having achieved a DXCC
(contact with over 100 countries) as well as the wins in NZART Jock White Memorial
contest (Field Day).

The clubroom is located at the head of the Purewa Creek valley reached by going through the yard at 400 St John’s Road, diagonally opposite St Thomas’ Church in Kohimarama.

General meetings are every 3rd
Saturday of the month (except December) from 1330 hr. We usually have a guest
speaker to talk on a radio-related topic, as well as Club business. On the nice weather Saturdays we will try to have a midday BBQ.

Committee meetings are every 1st Tuesday of the month (except January)

Each Monday we hold our club HF net at 3.645 MHz (± QRM) 2000hr
Each Thursday we hold our club VHF net at 145.775 MHz split from 2000hr onwards
10-10 Down-under on 28.530 MHz every Saturday at 1030 NZST hosted by Bob, ZL1AFU.
