Name: 6L6GC Use: Glass octal tube type used in the output stage of audio amplifying equipment, especially units designed to have ample reserve of power-delivering ability. This tube, like other power-handling tubes, should be adequately ventilated. 6L6GC can be used in place of type 6L6 and may be supplied with pin 1 omitted. In some applications, this tube might be replaced on lower power applications by the 6V6, such as QRP class C finals or power oscillators. Notes: Requires an octal socket. |
