OpenVMS for Amateur Radio
Tired of the limitations of DOS and M$SOFT?
LINUX too hard to learn?
Compaq Computer Corporation now offers a FREE hobby license to use OpenVMS/VAX.
It is easier to use than LINUX, and far more powerful than DOS and Windoze.
I am currently running a home station with OpenVMS/VAX connected to a packet modem.
The controlling program is a DCL program. (Shell script equivalent).
Current work is getting the freeware OpenCMU-IP TCP/IP stack able to fully support interoperations with higher speed digital amateur radio between LINUX and Windoze.
