First licensed as a Novice in January 1981, I held the call KA8LGF.
Due to finances, or lack thereof, I wasn't active for several years
after obtaining my ticket. I worked my way up through the "ranks"
and obtained my Advanced ticket in 2000 and changed my call to
W8LGZ.
Over the years, my station grew to the point where it occupied
nearly an entire wall, floor to ceiling. Due to a life change in 2005, it
shrunk to nearly nothing. Since then, it's grown to its current state.
The shack consists of a Yaesu FT-450AT & FT-817ND for H.F.,
BC-785D & Pro-2006 scanners and a Kenwood TM-2550A along
with various other pieces of equipment. Antenna is a 68' long wire
with a Hustler 4BTV slated for spring 2008.
