Lyle Clark (SK), W7RDR, April, 1979

The W7RDR, Lyle Clark Memorial repeater, provides the Long Beach Peninsula with great coverage. Lyle purchased the original repeater, installed on Sahali Hill in Ilwaco, and sold shares to Hams interested in supporting it. The ownership passed to PCARC shortly before Lyle became a silent key, and the club moved it to its present location. The repeater has since been upgraded to Motorola gear.

Our equipment is located at the local commercial FM station, affording us stability and security. The repeater is on top, the filter box below and the battery bank on the floor underneath, with the charger on the wall to the right.

Overlooking Ilwaco and the Long Beach Peninsula providing excellent local coverage. The receiving antenna is at 150 feet, the transmitting antenna at 70 feet, on the 200 foot tower.
