Attention! Attention! Road & Weather Net for 2002 / 2003......

Due to changing patterns of the traveling public this year the Road & Weather Net will be informal. Last year the Net was quiet so this year we will skip the sign-up sheets and ask members and all hams to monitor the repeaters and offer assistance to any in need. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all who, over the years, have made the Road and Weather Net a valuable asset.

Greg Elder, N6UPH
You Can Help!

Many of you know that Greg was one of the people who helped keep our fine repeater system up and running. He provided an invaluable service. Due to a very unfortunate set of circumstances Greg ended up in some major trouble with the legal system and is currently in prison. John Strand, a very close friend of Greg's, stays in touch with Greg and was wondering if any Club members would like to write to Greg and let him know he is not forgotten. Greg Elder is now in San Luis Obispo. He thought so much of the local radio community, it would be a shame for everyone to just forget about him. Please send him a note to just say "Hello". His new address is:

Gregory Allen Elder

Thanks - 73,
John Strand W6IBL
