SYSTEM STATUS AND DONATION REQUEST:

Dear QSL.net user,

We hope you are enjoying the services we provide, such as free Web Hosting, Email Forwarding, Mailman Mailing Lists and DX Log Search.

WE NEED YOUR FINANCIAL HELP:

It's been about TWO YEARS since our last system-wide email to users, asking for support.

We continue to see growth in bandwidth, CPU and disk space usage. Your financial support allows us to maintain and expand our Web Hosting, Email Forwarding, Mailman Mailing Lists and DX Log Search services.

Your financial support also allows us to keep offering free business-class spam filtering for our QSL.net Email Forwarding users. The spam filtering system has been very successful and has dramatically decreased the amount of spam seen by our users.

QSL.NET EXISTS SOLELY ON YOUR DONATIONS!

For nearly three decades, QSL.net has been dedicated to the sole purpose of furthering the abilities and interests of the Amateur Radio Community, with free Internet services for hams. QSL.net now needs to ask you for something in return: Your financial support.

In addition to the costs for data center bandwidth and hardware, and subscription fees for our professional spam filtering system, we also have hundreds of hours of time involved in answering support tickets, programming and maintaining the Self-Help and Ticket systems, troubleshooting various web, email, mailing list and FTP issues, etc.

WE HAVE NOT ASKED FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN NEARLY TWO YEARS - CAN YOU HELP US TODAY?

If your financial situation allows you to contribute to QSL.net, we would greatly appreciate your support! We can accept donations via PayPal, Credit Card, Check or Money Order. To donate, see:

Thank you for your continued support!

SSL SERVICE NOW ENABLED FOR QSL.NET WEBSITES:

One of our most requested features is now live! If you have a website on QSL.net, it is now using https / SSL. For example, QSL.net volunteer WJ3R has his website at http://www.qsl.net/wj3r -- you will notice that if you visit his site, it will immediately redirect to use https, so the URL is now https://www.qsl.net/wj3r, and most browsers will show a green lock or some notification that the site is secure.

If your site is showing some type of security error, it is possible that you have non-secure items on your page, which cause 'mixed content' errors. You can find these issues by entering your website into the free site at https://www.whynopadlock.com -- this will tell you what parts of your site have insecure content, so you can fix the problem.

As always, if you need assistance, you may contact us via our 'Contact Us' page, which will open a Support Ticket, and one of our volunteers will contact you as soon as possible.

And, as always, we depend on your financial support to continue offering QSL.net services to hams around the world. If you've been thinking about sending in a donation... now would be a good time. :-)

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this upgrade.
