The Greater New Orleans Amateur Radio Club, Inc. is a general interest / experimenters' club, with a focus on "continuing education" for radio amateurs. With so many different facets to ham radio, it's sometimes hard to know where to turn when you need help. From satellites to APRS to DXing to ATV, the club wants to be an "Elmer" resource for New Orleans area hams!

And, love it or hate it, license restructuring has had a big effect on amateur radio. With all the fresh interest in hamming, GNOARC wants to help usher in a new "golden era for the hobby!

Meanwhile, the club repeaters are on the air and open for general amateur use:

W5UK/R 444.200 (114.8 Hz PL)

During Hurricane Katrina, the W5UK 444.2 repeater stayed on the air and was used by the Army and National Guard, as well as by local amateurs. Although the GNOARAC has not been as active since the Big Storm, we are still around!

WB5LLI/R (maintained by GNOARC members) 53.130 MHz (input 52.130)
