I'm 32 years old and hold General class ticket in Houston, Texas. I am originally from Italy and the radio fever started there, thanks to good people like Livio "Barba", IK3ERQ.

I like to operate the HF bands as well as the 2 meter SSB. In spite of local antenna restrictions that force me to keep them all in my attic, I love DXing, its challenges and awards. Click here to view my award status.

Even if CW is a new mode for me, I think I've got the bug already, and thanks to Maggie WP2T, I have improved a lot my proficiency. I still need to practice, but I will keep working at it because I find CW so rewarding!

I mainly use the local repeaters to quickly get in touch with a friend and then move to a simplex frequency when possible. I believe repeaters should be left for the most part to mobile operators or used for real necessities in case direct contacts are not possible.
