Membership Initiative The
Skint Chestnut Amateur Radio Society has embarked on an initiative to
increase club membership. With this long-term project, the club
seeks to attract members and increase community awareness of Amateur
Radio within Douglas County and surrounding areas. The public
relations campaign necessary to accomplish these two goals will
include newspaper placements advertising club events and meetings, a
new website, the mention of nets and meetings during repeater ID, and
mailings to all licensed hams throughout Douglas County.
While specific goals are still to be determined, it is hoped that a
dramatic increase in club membership and an increase in public
awareness will help SCARS meet its commitments to Amateur Radio
and the public.
