I was born in a little (well then anyway) rural town called Nowra, on the South Coast of New South Wales, way back in June of 1963.
This was primarly a Farming/ Paper Mill and Navy Base (HMAS Albatross) town.
From There my family moved to Metropolation Melbourne, Sunshine Victoria.
The shock (or fascination) for a young country kid was somewhat large and since them I have loved the city life.
After a small stint (around 5 years) once again my family moved (minus one sister, she stayed in the western suburbs) to the oppsite end of the metro area, in fact on our first trip out to the new home area I remember coming over the crest of a hill, off the then named Mulgrave freeway, thinking "where the hell am I, this is the end of the earth" (aged 16 and full of hormones, memories of girlfriends left behind).
None the less I found that there where girls out in Cranbourne as well.
There I once again became accustomered to the area, the people and found the girl that I am destined to spend the rest of my life with.
We have known each other since 1979 and where married in 1986
As is the case with many a marrage, kids soon came along, well not soon but eventually. We where blessed in 1991 with our first born, Emily Tegan and again in 1994 with Amy Rebecca.
One thing I have noticed over the last few years of parenting is.......remember when your father would tell you to....
STOP RUNNING
DONT YELL
PUT THAT DOWN
etc etc etc.............
Back then I would stop and think (or say)......
"what an old fuddy duddy"
"geez dad you dont let us have any fun"
"I'm not running"
Well, guess what, I now echo those exact words from my father and also guess what, my kids echo the same replies as I did!!!!! You would think we would learn, ha ha HA!
Anyway, enough of the history lesson, lets talk about the present........
Apart from the admiration and importance I have for my family, I (we) also have several other interests (hobbies) that one can either relate to or have in common.
