This was where I spent a lot of my early years due to fact that my dad was in the Navy [Fleet Air Arm] as a aircraft mechinac and served aboard the HMAS Melbourne in the 60's and 70's.
I have great memories as a kid, around 3,4,5 yrs old running around this navy base
getting my dad into all sorts of trouble with the CO's. It was a great life for a
kid to be able to climb over all the aircraft and helicopters.
