If we have already had a contact on the Air, you know me as Kosta from Odesa in Ukraine.
Yes, I am  Kostiantyn  Popandopoulo,  licensed radio amateur since  1980. Previous callsign
UB5FFC  was  changed  automatically in  1991  due to  Ukraine  became  independent  state.
Location  is at the  South-Western  part of  Odesa  city, about  5 km  from  Northern  coast
of the   Black   Sea,   QRA - KN56IK,  exact  coordinates  of my  shack,  defined by  GPS  are
46° 25' 31" N,  30° 43' 18" E.
By the way, oldtimers, do you remember 1969,  great "The Bee Gees" and their wonderful
album, " Odessa (The city on the Black Sea) "?  Really,  that's about my city and for my city.
I was born here in Odesa in 1955, married just one time since 1973 ~:), have a son (1974)
a daughter (1984) and charming granddaughter (1993).
That's all about my person.

This page created on the reason of... to be shorter, a lot of people do the same.
It's my attempt...
I would like to use this mainly to let you know more about  Ukraine  and  people  living here.
Quite  frequent  case  on  qso  makes me to  explain you,  that if you send me,  for example,
"spasibo" and "doswidania" - it's wrong, it's not my language.
I believe,  you,  german or  italian  HAMs,  will  amazing to hear every day  "domo arigato!",
"sayonara!" or "efharisto poli, ya hara!", are not you?
I   understand,  all  we   are  from   died  USSR   for  you.  But  all  we  are  rather  different,
dramatically different. Therefore, I would like to ask you, please, stop mix us with russians,
ukrainian language is much older. Every  HAM  in  Ukraine  will pleased if You say him on air
"DIAKUYU" (TNX) and "DOPOBACHENNIA" (CU, GB).

"Gaining independence from Russia in 1991 and slightly larger than France,
it was once called the "Breadbasket of Europe."
Ukraine is rich in natural resources and historical traditions..."
- this is from C.I.A. report, you can learn even more if you visit Ukraine.
