The SMIRK QSO Party, sponsored by the Six Meter International Radio Klub will be held from 0000Z June 20, 2009 through 2400Z June 21, 2009. Contacts must be on six meters only, voice and/or CW. No contacts involving another band for one side of the contact count. This year's SMIRK Contest is dedicated to the memory of Dale Richardson, AA5XE, who served SMIRK for a number of years as our Secretary, Treasurer and Webmaster. ARAUCARIA VHF CONTEST. The Araucaria DX Group, one of the top contester´s
team in the world, will promoted the 3th edition of AVHFC, the "Araucaria
VHF Contest" on May, 01 to 03; 2009. During the latests editions,
more than 330 stations were ready for DX on 6 meters and 2 meters,
some of then in rare grids squares from Brazil. The rules are almost
the same of CQWW VHF, so any contest software with CQWW VHF option
is also usefull for AVHFC. The aim is strenght the VHF DXing in
South America as well offer to the world wide VHF community new
opportunities of DX in terms of new locators and potential partners
stations for future radio experiments. The coordination produced
the rules in english, spanish and portuguese languages and they
are avaiable on the website http://www.avhfc.org . So don´t
forget: on the first weekend of May check the VHF bands, the DX

Reminder ARI Digital EME Contest - Hi all, our 4th Italian EME Digital
Contest will be kept on the last weekend of May 2009, on the 30th
and 31st. It is open to all bands, vhf and up, only it does not
have multiband cathegory. As usual, stations will be classed according
to antenna dimensions, it is a fair battle between similar stations.
