K8BE Gary and N8ST Carolyn

      I hope you will enjoy this website.  I created it for fun (my fun while creating and your fun while looking through it).   My OM (Gary) has been a ham operator for over 26 years.  Gary has been after me to take the test(s) and get my license every since we got married.  However, at the time we didn't have a good radio, and not much time either.  In early 1998, we bought a used rig (Kenwood TS-520S) and I started listening to Gary talk to other people ... and wondered why I wasn't in on all this fun. <ha ha>  So, I studied, took the tests,  passed, and  got my no code Tech. license and the callsign KC8KBF.  A few months after that, I took  the code and theory for the General license and passed. Within less than two years I had an Amateur Extra license and got a vanity callsign that reflects the two hobbies I enjoy ... N8ST = N8 Star Trek <grin>.  Below are some things I enjoy (click on the links to see more about them) ...
