The 10 meter Beacon is on the air! |
July 30, 2003 - Ken W7GMC and I removed the beacon
equipment from the club's storage unit. Still have to take the antennas down. That is
planned for this weekend. May 1, 2003, still looking for a new home for the beacon. As of January 2003 the N7CZ/b 10M beacon is off the air due to concerns of the local radio club over the amount of electrictity it used. As of April 29, 2002 at 0600Z, the 10 meter Beacon is on the air! June 27, 2002 the beacon has been moved to its permanent location atop Gore Hill. (N 47.28.687 W 111.21.298 Grid DN47hl elevation of 3664 feet ASL. 1/2 wave GP) |
OFF AIR The 2 meter Beacon was on the air! OFF AIR Sunday July 28, 2002 I placed the expanded beacon back in its normal location atop of Gore Hill on the west end of Great Falls. I am sorry to say the local 2M repeater did not like the 2M beacon. Even the exciter alone caused some issues with the 147.30+ repeater. I have turned the 2M beacon off until I can locate a new home for it. Monday July 15, 2002 I received a TenTec 10M-2M transverter from Michael WD6ALM. I have already begun the process of placing the unit into service. |
The beacon message is as follows: DE N7CZ/B DN47 GREAT FALLS, MT. DE N7CZ/B DN47 GREAT FALLS, MT. DE N7CZ/B DN47 GREAT FALLS, MT. (carrier for 4 seconds) AR |
