Equation 4-4. Position Conversion
Equation 4-4 converts the velocity value for each data point to position
data. This conversion uses the velocity data calculated with equation 4-3
and segment time from equation 4-2 to calculate the number of pulses for
each profile segment. This conversion is calculated as follows. The RPM
value is multiplied by the segment time. This is divided by 60 and then
multiplied by 8000 to scale the result in pulses per segment time. This
calculation is performed for every data point in the profile. These position
data points are then totaled along the profile. This process generates an
absolute position profile that corresponds to the velocity profile generated
