Hello and welcome to the future home of N4QVM's web page. My name is John Dwiggins and I live in Davie county, North Carolina. Although I have been a ham since 1988 I haven't been active for  several years. I am now getting back into radio and hope to see you around the bands. My main interests are contests and DX'ing. When I was active several years ago I mainly operated CW, but lately I spend more time on SSB. After several years of no CW my copy speed suffered so while I get back up to speed I am using SSB more. The rig here is a Kenwood TS140S and  the antenna at the moment is a wire loop about 250 feet long with the top about 50 feet high and the bottom between 6 and 8 feet high. I can usually do OK on cw in the crowds, but on ssb it gets a lot  harder.

Well, I have a few pages up here now. I had a laminectomy 26 June, 1999 and a Ray Cage Disc fusion on 26 September, 2000,  so I have had to take things very slow and easy for a while.  Things are getting much better now and I will add to these pages as time permits.
