A Message From the Cary Amateur Radio Club President

Hello All,

First I would like to wish all club members, their families, and all local Hams a Happy and Healthy New Year. I would like to see more involvement in the club by members and hams in the area. We have lowered our dues this year to $10 making membership in the club very affordable. Our club is not the most active club in the triangle area, but we do have a few things we support. We support the Boy Scouts by providing radio activity at the Boy Scouts yearly JOTA (Jamboree on the Air) in October, we have a hamfest on the third Saturday of July, and we support Cary High Schools band day. We also have members involved in message traffic handling and ARES. The club also has a lot of experienced hams that will be glad to mentor anyone interested in ham radio and its many aspects. We have CW experience, Satellite experience, contesting, and DX and others areas as well. If we do not have what you need, we will help you find it. If you want to be involved with these activities or do some of the jobs every club has that its members need to do, feel free to volunteer, we can always use the help. We also have a Kenwood TS430S and its power supply we can lend out to new hams until they get their own rig.
