A Message From the Cary Amateur Radio Club President
Hello All,
First I would like to wish all club members, their families, and all local Hams a Happy and Healthy New Year.
As we start this New Year our club faces many new challenges.
I would like to see our club come up with a set of goals for the year and agree to them and a plan to achieve them. They could include the following -
- We need to create more interest and involvement by our club members and local hams in our club.
- We need to come up with programs that create a desire in our members and local hams to come to our meetings.
- We have to begin planning for our Hamfest in July and any other activities we plan to do this year associated with the Hamfest.
- We need to get more club members involved in Field Day even if it is with another clubs Field Day activities.
- We need to provide classes or aid another club to have classes to help folks become hams. This will help our club grow and get everyone
involved.
Doing these things is not just the job of your club officers, but every club member. I know we are all busy and have jobs, families and other responsibilities. But with planing and long lead times, everyone should be able to help with one or more of the above items.
I hope you all can the January club meeting on January 26th at 731 PM.
Have a good day.
