Home station: Operating station is in the basement of condo townhouse with
antenna restrictions. Entire station is contained on two storage shelf
units. A Kenwood TS-570D, VHF and/or UHF is done with
several different radios. Packet is done with an AEA DSP232 multi
-mode. PSK-31 duties are handled by my Rigblaster Nomic and my
AMD K6-2 333MHz shack computer.
I am able to operate on 80m- 70cm with a 10m homebrew dipole, a Van
Gorden SD-80 shortened 80m dipole and a Cushcraft AR-270 dual
band vertical inside the attic.
My mobile setup:
Radios: Yaesu FT-900AT mounted under the driver seat with the faceplate
is remote mounted to the shelf installed above the sunvisors. VHF/
UHF duties are handled by my Icom IC-2350 mobile.
Antennas: A Diamond NR770HNMO is mounted just behind the driver area on the
roof for VHF/UHF duty. HF is taken care of by an Outbacker OB-8.
