Hallicrafters model DD-1 Dual Diversity receiver is quite rare and "the most exotic radio the company built". It is
1938 vintage. The unit consists of the DD-1 tuner, the wood bonnet housing the diversity meters, the DD-P power supply
for the tuner, a Jensen 15 inch speaker housed in a Leslie speaker cabinet and being driven by a Leslie number 47 power
amplifier. The workmanship is excellent as can be seen in the photographs. This instrument was entered in the Radiofest
contest at Elgin in 1994 and wone first place.
