A sketch showing the main dimensions and features of Bill-DER's new G5RV Antenna.

View of the installed and working G5RV Antenna at Bill-DER's station.

An additional shot of the final installation of the G5RV using the fiberglass poles ordered from Ebay.

Assembly Area... Gorilla glue was used to permanently attach the fiberglass sections. Gorilla glue appears to be quite adequate for the job.

This photograph shows how the assembled pole is mounted to the utility building.

Overview of the installation with the antenna attached. The pole is nice and straight and holds the antenna well. Note that the base of the pole is anchored with Sakrete. The pole is guyed in the opposite direction of the antenna. Fiberglass poles are more rigid than aluminum and have less give. We will just have to wait to see how they hold up with loading for ice and strong wind.
