Speaking of AMSAT, I have a Y2K update for the InstantTrak Program that has been gratiously provided by John, F6HCC. He requests any renumeration be in the form of a Donation to AMSAT and that's fair to me. CVITK is the name of the program and you can download it by clicking "here". Instructions are in the readme file!!! (Works like a champ!!)
I'm into HF DX'ing on 20, 15, and 10 (only have a Tri-band beam up at the moment - at a whopping 20ft!!! Hey ya do what you can!!). In fact one of these days I'll actually send for those Peter I cards!!! Worked them on 40, 20, 15, and 10 but never found out where to send the cards....Someday. (If you have any idea where to send for those cards, I'd appreciate the address -- [email protected].)

Doing radio was live and in color, as they say....like the old TV reruns, showing Steve Allen, Milton Berle, Johnny Carson, Jackie Gleason, Phil Silvers, to name a few, making incredible flubbs live on the air. Who can forget the classic scene of Ed Ames throwing the hatchet on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson??

  We as a planet have to stop employing fossil fuels for our energy. There are other ways. Of course, the big energy suppliers can't bill you for what they don't provide, so they have incentive to keep these technologies in the background for as long as possible. Check out the possibilities. Use them where you can and cut down on using Pacific Gas and Electric, Edison, or whomever you receive your energy from!!! Some of the larger providers have already seen the handwriting on the wall and are offering solar PV systems to customers, at an inflated cost of course, and charge monthly for what the system generates (kind of like a leaseback). Hey. It's one avenue if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself (but it is fairly simple to do for yourself!!!)
