Hello and welcome to my amateur radio page. If I can become a Ham, anyone can. Here’s my story.

I’ve been listening to Hams for what seems like most of my life. I had a cousin who was a Ham since his childhood. I now wish that I’d started at a younger age, but life has its ways.

At any rate, I am one now. And I’m still studying as so far I’m only a no-code technician level. I have passed the General theory test and need to learn morse code and pass that test to become a full-fledged general. I’ve also enrolled in a locally based Extra level class. So my plate is pretty full with lots to learn.

In late 2000 I decided to build a website for a favorite group of Hams that I’d been listening to for some time. That, in my eyes, has become a success. The website, along with its forum, has brought those Hams together with their shortwave listeners. It has been extremely beneficial for both groups and several of the SWLs have now become Hams or are studying to do so. And it’s a lot of fun as well. You may visit us here.
