KC9ASU projects
All of these projects are currently in progress. Most of them are somehow
interdependant on each other.
GPS disciplined frequency standard
The goal of this project is to provide a accurate station frequency
reference that uses atomic clocks on GPS satellites as a reference. This is a
redesign based a a design published in QST a few years ago.
DSP 10 redesign
Based on Bob Larkin's popular DSP 10 design. I like the concept, but looking
to repackage it somewhat to make it more modular.
Hf front end for DSP 10 redesign
An extension of the previous design. My intent is to break out the DSP into
a separate enclosure to allow using either a 2m or hf frontends.
70cm transconverter
70cm to 2m transverter primarily for satellite work.
23cm transconverter
23cm to 2m transverter primarily for satellite work.
13cm transconverter
13cm to 2m transverter primarily for ao-40 downlink satellite work.
Az-el rotor
Azimuth and elevation rotor for positioning antennas for satellite and EME.
Hopefully a simple and reproducable design for low to moderate windloading on
near ground mounted antennas.
More projects are in the planning.
I will build all of my needed antennas and tripod support towers. I will
probably build a lot of test equipment along the way. I would also like to try
some 10GHz and 24Ghz (now that AO-40 is downllinking on 24Ghz) and most
probably as resources permit 3.5Ghz and 5.7Ghz as well.
