Well, I'm just getting into amateur radio. So far all I've purchased is a handheld and a few antennas. I bought a Yaesu VX-7R (black) and so far it's great. One of the antennas I've added is for mobile use of the VX-7 in the car and another for when I'm using it at home. I also replaced the rubber duck antenna that comes with the vx-7 with a Diamond SRH320A.

I've added an extra battery for the radio and a speaker-mic which is also pretty handy when using the radio.

One thing that has been great to use with this particular radio is VX-7 commander. It's better than the program you can get from Yaesu and makes managing all of the memories on the radio an absolute breeze.

There are also lot's of resources on the web for this hobby. You'll find links to some of the resources here.

If you get a chance, check out or sign my guest book.

Check back often, I plan to keep updating this site as much as possible.
