Got Site?

Uncertainty prevailed for the Field Day contest of 2005 when it became known that the location at the Carlsbad Safety Center was not available.

A site was finally secured in San Marcos, at a vacant lot next to the Sheriffs office and downwind from the Stone Brewing Company.

Stations operating this year include a solar powered Get On the Air (GOTA) station and a satellite station. One great opportunity was found in the use of a truck with a cherry picker to assist in the handling of antennae, and viewing the sunset.

The Roadkill Cafe did the usual great job of feeding the hungry participants and visitors.
