Well I guess this is where you find out about my personal life, or at least what I tell you. I am 32 years old. I was first licensed in 1997 as a tech. I spent my first year of radio playing VHF weak signal and local repeater rag chewing. I really enjoyed the weak signal stuff but was not amused by the repeater crowd. Boredom set in and I went surfing. Sold all my gear and bought a much fine 7'6" Surf Boards Hawaii surf board. Man I had fun. I also picked up a Moray Boogie and did a little boogie boarding. The boogie was much more fun to me in the Padre Island slop. I have been in and out of surfing since I was about 12 so it was not new to me, I just hadn't done it in awhile. Gave up the surfing in 1998 and got married and went to work as LAN Manager for the Corpus Christi ISD. I have a great wife, Jennifer, who does not complain too much about my hobby. We have 3 kids. 1 mine, 1 hers and 1 ours. Katie (mine) is 10, Madison (hers) is 8 and Alex (ours) is  2 (April 2004). We love them all like they were all ours.

Enough about family you are here for radio. I picked the hobby back up in 2000 when I bought back my FT-5100 from the guy who bought it from me. I then proceeded to buy some more VHF/UHF SSB gear. My first night on the air with it produced a nice 2 meter sporadic E opening to California. Nice way to be welcomed back into the hobby.  Bought some 6 meter stuff and started working grids and countries. I have over 300 grids and 34 countries worked on 6 meters. Made the up grade to Tech plus in December 2000 and general in June 2001. I had to study and pass some work related certifications during that time also.  I hold VUCC, WAC and DXCC. 

Like I said I am a LAN manager at the school district. I have A+ and a CNA for Novell NetWare. I am also working on CCNE for Cisco plus being accredited for other software we use.

Well, I will up date this more when something happens but as of 11-May-2004 this is it.
