KCØBSN

Welcome to my ham radio page!

Currently I'm a member of both the Northeast Iowa Radio Amateur Association in Waterloo, Iowa, and a member of the Cyclone Amateur Radio Club in Ames, Iowa.  I'm also a member of the national Amateur Radio Relay League.

For my radio equipment... I have a Magellan GPS-315 receiver hooked up to my Kenwood D-700A dual-band radio.  This radio/GPS combination allows other users to see where I am when my radio and GPS are turned on.  Look below for links to graphics that should show my location.

I also own two hand-held radios.  One is the ADI-AT600 dual-band, and the other is the Radio Shack HTX-202.

My callsign is KCØBSN.  I'm a tech-plus which isn't available anymore due to license restructuring.  To find out more about amateur radio visit the ARRL.  I plan on upgrading my license soon...when I do, I may or may not get a new call...I guess it's all up to me. :)
