Repeater Information

 We are several Jehovah's witness Ham radio operators from the Eugene, Oregon, USA area that do not have access to the HF Ham Radio bands. We communicate using using a small backyard repeater on 147.36+ using a tone of 77Hz. 

    We use two dual band transceivers in two locations in West Eugene, OR as a cross band repeater. We do not have the cash it takes to have the expensive duplexers for a normal repeater. Never the less we enjoy using our system very much.

The reason we do not transit using more power is our limited repeater reception with our short antenna height, we could easily be transmitting further out that we can effectively raise the repeater. Also there is another repeater using the same frequency in Portland, OR about 200 miles away that we have to be careful not to interfere with.
