My name is Patrick Burke. I am 34 years old and live in Duluth, Minnesota. My wife, Lisa, and I have three wonderful sons, Jacob, Nicholas and Alexander. I am employed as a Certified Professional with GNS Consulting, Inc.. Prior to this I was employed with CP Internet as a Systems Engineer and worked in Law Enforcment at The College of St. Scholastica. |
I am a storm nut! I have been fascinated with severe weather since I was a child. I am also a licensed general class amateur radio operator, callsign KB0BRO. Due to my involvement with the Arrowhead Radio Amateur Club and the Skywarn program, I began chasing storms in earnest 4 years ago. It has been a very rewarding experience and the local radio amateur's are are an exceptional group of volunteers! Skywarn nets are held on the 146.34/94 repeater when severe weather threatens the Arrowhead Region.
Well, I finally retired "Red Storm", my 1978 Chevrolet Nova. She was a true warrior but it was time to put her out to pasture. I am now in the process of outfitting a 1992 Mitsubishi Expo LRV Sport. The AWD will be nice but I have no idea where all of the equipment is going to fit.
My equipment includes the following:
Uniden HR-2510, Icom 2SAT HT with amplifier, Kenwood TS-9000 2 meter mobile, Hitachi laptop with cellular modem, WX Radio with tone alert, a CB radio, Optimus 2.5" TV, Scanner, Sony video camera and 2 35MM cameras.
I am always looking to add equipment that will make the trip safer and more productive.
