If you are called to serve as a juror, you should know that you have both the right and the obligation to judge the law as well as the defendant. If you believe a law is unjust or is improperly applied, you have a duty to acquit.
Once the legislature has passed a law, the only way we, the people have to correct injustice is by refusing to convict persons charged with the offense.
Every juror has the right and the obligation to vote his/her conscience not only concerning the guilt or innocence of the defendant, but concerning the guilt or innocence of the legislature and the judicial system.
Where bad laws are enforced, we all suffer. Our only recourse as a free people is to deny convictions based on bad legislation.
