Learn Where To Route Around Packet Roadblocks

The best way to get all the information you need to route your system around self appointed "packet patrolmen" like w0rli and n7qdn is to go directly to the source at ftp.ucsd.edu and there you will find a complete listing of all the packet systems with internet connectivity.

When you encounter people like Hank and Duane who want to block messages and cause problems for the orderly flow of packet traffic, simply route around them using a system you can reach by telnet. Put your message traffic back on the system on the far side of the road block and let it work its way around through the usual means.

Look for special listings, and email them to me: [email protected].

I'm working on "a dozen critical sites" for forwarding and when I have selected
them, they will be posted here with IP addresses.

The first listing I'd like to post is http://www.wagate.com

This is the n7nei bbs internet gateway.

Hank and Duane will not be able to stop your traffic if it goes out through
Wagate.

Try the kf9ug packet gateway: http://www.centralnet.net/kf9ug/gateway/ or telnet to kf9ug.centralnet.net [207.51.176.192] [44.48.30.75]

Check out http://www.lantz.com and gw.ve6lip.ampr.org

And finally for today, k3jz, telnet 44.24.120.4

How To Telnet

To telnet, use the Hyperterminal program from Windows Accessories Group
and dial your ISP as usual. You will be prompted to log on with your
userid and password and then you'll get a Unix prompt. At the prompt
type "telnet kf9ug.centralnet.net" all lower case.

The bbs will come up and look very familiar. If you need help, send email.
