About

DEFINITION:  The term Young Lady (YL) refers to any licensed female amateur radio operator regardless of age.

The Crossroads of America Amateur Radio Ladies Association (CAARLA) is an association of female amateur radio operators from Terre Haute, IN, and the surrounding area.  It is an affiliated club of the Young Ladies Radio League (YLRL), an international organization of YL's. CAARLA is also a member of the Indiana Radio Club Council.

The Crossroads of America Amateur Radio Ladies Association exists to encourage and assist YL's throughout Terre Haute and the surrounding area to participate in the hobby known as Amateur Radio (a.k.a. "Ham" Radio). There are a variety of interests to offer licensed YL's, including, but not limited to: Traffic Handling, Public Service, Contests, Awards, DX, etc. Of course, there are the infinite benefits derived from just plain ragchewing and the resulting friendships.
