Mizuho SB-21
This Mizuho SB-21 is a 15 meter 1W SSB/CW transceiver made in the 1970s.
This one is a little special- someone fitted an amplifier in the bottom and
this example puts out 11W. It has a small muffin fan that runs when the radio
is keyed. I bought it off of eBay a few years ago from a guy in Hong Kong. He said he did not put the amp in, but he did
run the radio mobile and made lots of QSOs with it. This is by far one of my
favorite radios. It’s a little dirty and has been used a lot in it’s life, but
I like it because it is pure simplicity and it works great. I’ve worked Argentina, Belize, Chile, Cuba and Mexico with it
into a 40m dipole. It gets good reports.. Here’s a photo of the inside (not the
