HONDA
AFRICA TWIN 750:
AN EASY TO BUILD CENTRAL STAND FOR MAINTENANCE
1/2
Why do it to myself is I
can buy it at shop?
Because I had no time, because I like "homebuilding" , because it has
no cost but expecially for the following:
to make me possible to lift my africa twin ( wich is very heavy) alone and soon;
Infact all the commercial central stand (not the original Honda, wich is very
expensive) use the rear wheel axle as point of "anchorage";
that means you need a man to put the moto horizontal and an other to insert the
central stand;
that was not good for me: I just needed something to make the same job quickly
and to myself;
The needed is very cheap: some bolts,iron plate and similar.
It works as following: a "C" iron is the baseof all;
on the left there's a "bridge" wich move up or down,
on the other side there is crick to insert in a slide;
the end of the bridge is supported by the crick;
