 Welcome to my Amateur Radio website. My name is Colin Williamson. I live in Ballyclare, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. My amateur radio callsign is GI0RQK  
 

 
  For those not familiar with amateur (Ham) radio, every licensed amateur is issued with a callsign to identify themselves. It basically gives information about the person or station to others. In my case, GI, lets others radio users know than I am from Northern Ireland. The 0 designates that it is a full licence and the RQK further identifies me. Its a bit like a car registration / number plate.  
 
 

 

 My Amateur Radio interest is mainly operating CW. (carrier wave - i.e. Morse code). I can be found "on the key" most evenings and weekends.
