Tires became a serious issue. The ones that came with the Oddy lost air big
time. They held the pressure only a few hours. I had to replace the valves which
improved the situation a little.
After I had dismounted the tires with a tool that I bought, I found the real
issue:
The two halfs of the Oddy's steel rims a bolted together. Between the rims there
is supposed to be a o-ring (seal). Was, of course, missing. The corrosion did
the rest. The tires lost air when not bolted on the Oddy's hub (one could hear
it).
I decided to purchase pre-owned alloy rims and put new front (20x7, 2
Ply/Bias) and rear tires (22x10, 2 Ply/Bias) on them. Rim size (front and rear):
8 inch.
Issue resolved.
One more thing I would like to mention:
Removing tires from rims seems to be an easy thing. Don't try it w/o the
appropriate tool. It won't work. Putting new tires on the rim back on is another
challenge. Don't try to push the tires into the beads by inflating them using a
cheesy 12 Volt compressor. You need a professional air compressor. Go to the
next gas station providing free air. Usually, the max pressure is 20 PSI.
Don't exceed this since the tires will be badly damaged.
I, too, put new front and rear wheel hubs on the Oddy.
