KEC400

KEC400

Up Engine Specs

In February when I first fired up my Oddy's engine, I could hardly believe what I heard. I makes such a deafening 'sound'. Whrooar ...

Let's repress Sandra's comments ("What the hell's that 'noise' ??") for a moment:
33+ horse powers, 26+ lbs. ft. torque. Seems to be enough for a 400 lbs puppy. We feel great.  :->

For one part of the population, it's 'noise', for the other it's 'music'. Loud 'music'. The KEC400's sound reminds me of a 80's song: 'You got to fight for your right to party!'. Yeah, the Beastie Boys.

Loudness comes with exhaust fumes. Same for my Oddy. In March I managed to repair the brakes and went to a ride in my back yard. Check this out:

Did I promise too much ? Surely not. The reason for all the fume is the carburetor. It needs adjustment. Don't ask me what the pre-owner did with it. No idea. Maybe he lives on a mountain. Maybe he's a jackass. Maybe both. I go with the last alternative.
