ACTIVITY

HQ & SHACK: On Joseph Kangethe Road, Woodley Estate, Nairobi (off the Ngong Road.)  Home of the Society station 5Z4RS.  The Shack is next to Moi Girls School on Joseph Kangethe Road behind Adams Arcade, Ngong Road.   Access to Joseph Kangethe Road is via Suna Road off Adams Arcade roundabout or Mugo Kibiru Road off Ngong Road.

SHACK MEETINGS: Normally the first Saturday of each month at 10 am at the Shack, Woodley Estate, but sometimes changed for convenience.  Visitors are most welcome - contact the Chairman/Secretary for information - by e-mail or mobile 0733 746 788. The next Shack Meeting is for 10 am on Saturday 4^th May.

NETS/BULLETINS: Every Sunday morning on 7075 kHz (LSB), 0600Z (0900 local). Run by Wolfgang, 5Z4WD from Loyengalani. Amateurs in neighbouring countries are more than welcome to join in when conditions permit.

NCDXF BEACON: The beacon 5Z4B has now been taken over and set up by Enrico Li Perni, 5Z4ES, at a site near Ruaraka north west of Nairobi.  The position co-ordinates are S. 01 14' 41.18"  E. 036 52' 41. 44" and locator KI88ks. It recently suffered a bad lightning strike which is now being repaired and is expected to be fully operational very shortly. A replacement part and antenna have been supplied through NCDXF.

REPEATER: 145.675 MHz, -600 offset.   It has been serviced recently at its site with Don Gardner, 5Z4DE, where it is working very well.
