2003 SARL 80m QSO party

This is a low key fun event, mostly local where the aim is to contact as many stations on 80m as possible. It is a friendly "contest" without the pressure you get in some of the other contests. We always seem to find time for a chat between contacts and it is a great way to meet old friends and make new ones.
This year I could not spend the whole 3 hours on the band due to other commitments but I still had some fun. Static levels were high, S9+20 for most of the time but signals were strong and most contacts were solid. Apart from the normal guys calling from ZS we also had a few guys pop up from 3DA, always a welcome addition.
We have 2 of these parties a year and I am hoping to spend more time on the air during the next one. Hopefully the static levels will also be lower next time.
